Interiors Done Right in Philadelphia

Half of Philadelphia's housing stock has plaster-and-lath walls, and the other half has drywall installed over framing that's seen a century of settling. Interior work here isn't just hanging board — it's knowing when to skim-coat original plaster, when to replace it, how to frame level walls in an out-of-level rowhouse, and how to match 100-year-old trim profiles so a repair disappears.

We provide precise framing, seamless drywall installation and finishing, professional painting, and custom millwork — trim, crown molding, wainscoting, and built-ins that add the architectural detail Philadelphia homes deserve.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I repair my plaster walls or replace them with drywall?

It depends on condition. Plaster in decent shape is often worth saving with a skim coat — it's denser and quieter than drywall. Plaster that's delaminating from the lath, badly cracked, or hiding wiring work that needs to happen is usually better replaced. We assess wall by wall and give you an honest recommendation either way.

Can you match the original trim in my old rowhouse?

Yes. We can replicate historic casing, baseboard, and crown profiles so repairs and additions blend with the original woodwork — critical in Society Hill, Queen Village, and other historic neighborhoods.

Do you do painting on its own, or only as part of bigger jobs?

Both. We take on standalone interior painting projects as well as paint as the finishing stage of framing, drywall, and millwork work.

How do you keep dust under control?

Plastic containment on doorways, floor protection throughout, HEPA vacuums on sanders, and daily clean-up. Drywall and plaster work is dusty by nature, but it should stay inside the work zone — not on your furniture.
